Hello, my name is LaNell Delgado, Lead teacher of the Preschool Beginners 3B classroom! I have been with Covenant Schools for over 14 years. Before teaching I spent several years in the legal field in my home state of California, working as a secretary in Insurance Defense and Medical Malpractice. I then worked in Administration and Electrical Drafting. I hold an Early Education Development Certificate and the State of New Mexico Certificate of Completion for Preschool. My associate’s degree is in Early Childhood Multicultural Education, and my bachelor’s degree is in Early Childhood Education. My interests include literacy, language development, and STEM activities.
I am a mother of five grown adult children – four sons and a daughter. I was blessed with the opportunity to homeschool my three younger children from 2008 to 2010. Two of my sons received special education services, one for behavioral therapy and the other for speech therapy.
I recognize that each child is unique. I look forward to working alongside all of you to build on your child’s strengths and meet their individual needs. This year will bring tremendous growth in independence, academics, and social-emotional skills for your child.
