Director

Ms. Joy has worked with Covenant Schools for the past 19 years and spent 14 years of that time as the director of the Rio Rancho center. Joy moved to the Albuquerque location in 2015. She uses her background in Elementary Education/Special Education and her degree in Early Childhood Multicultural Education, and Program Administration from CNM and New Mexico Highlands to make Covenant Schools one of the best child care centers in the state of New Mexico. Joy is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Program Administration with New Mexico State University.

For Ms. Joy, working at Covenant Schools is so much more than a job; it’s a passion and a calling. She works hard to keep a positive and friendly environment where staff and students are happy and excited to come to school every day. Joy takes a proactive approach so that students and teachers can thrive and grow. Ms. Joy does all that she can to make sure that Covenant Schools is always giving 110% to the care of your child so that your expectations are always met and exceeded. Ms. Joy strives daily to make a positive impact on the lives of the students, families, and employees of Covenant Schools.

She is a Master Trainer in Early Childhood for the state of New Mexico CYFD and a certified instructor for Mind in the Making: The Science of Child Development course. Joy was previously the President of the New Mexico Child Care Association and is still active in the community to make a difference in Early Childhood and the lives of all of our young children.
