Covenant Schools Rio Rancho is a 12,141 square foot custom built, state-of-the-art preschool. The school is divided into 10 classrooms to serve children six weeks old to Kindergarten in developmentally age appropriate, instructional programs. Through our custom security features and our in-house C.A.R.E. program we provide a safe and very clean environment. Your child will enjoy our private, covered and stimulating outdoor playground featuring alarm access protection and a wonderful view of the Sandia Mountains.
The curriculum we use is a whole language, phonics-based program that includes listening skills, recognition of name, sound and picture for short and long vowels and consonants. Language development will include color words, shapes, animals, transportation, countries, community helpers, health, safety, manners, and science. Poetry and finger plays committed to memory enhance the children’s language skill. Through the use of Reading Circles, Preschool Beginners and Preschool Advanced classrooms are able to take advantage of specifically hired staff to receive daily small group and even individual phonics instruction.
Covenant Schools Kindergarten is designed to greatly advance students in academics as well as provide a comfortable and nurturing step into the elementary education system. Covenant Schools Kindergarten was introduced in order to meet the expressed needs of Covenant preschool parents who were unable to find a program matching our high academic and moral standard coupled with a safe, clean and modern environment. Covenant Schools Kindergarten is nationally recognized by ICAA accreditation and provides a high excellence level of education. With a degreed Lead Teacher, this program is perhaps one of the best educational foundations available for Kindergarten students. Students are able to take great advantage of uninterrupted learning by remaining in a familiar, consistent, safe and nurturing environment built for young people and young minds. Music and computer literacy enhances our instructional program. Each classroom is equipped for daily musical experiences and each of our Preschool Beginners and Preschool Advanced classrooms are further equipped with 2 fully operational computers solely for guided student use.
The curriculum also includes simple counting, number concepts, and numbers largest to smallest, before and after, and simple addition facts.
Our character development program is based on the sound teachings of the Bible, which is taught through story lessons, hymns, choruses, and memory verses.
We have a full-service kitchen, where deliciously fresh breakfast, lunch and two snacks are prepared and served daily. All meals are included in tuition.
Our hours of operation are 6:30am-6:00pm Monday through Friday. We are opened year round with the exception of holidays.
