Our Rio Rancho kindergarten is an accredited program designed to provide students with a solid academic foundation.
Children will advance in all areas of academics, including:
- Reading
Most students are reading at the second grade level by the end of our phonics-based kindergarten program. - Writing
Students learn how to both print and write in cursive. - Math
Students learn how to add, count and form and recognize numbers. - History
Students are taught a Christian perspective to the past. - Science
Students begin to learn basic concepts of science and how the world works.
As a private Christian school, we also teach children Biblical principles and values through Bible stories and literature that promotes a Christian worldview. Students will also be able to recite Psalm 23, The Lord’s Prayer, and the Ten Commandments.
Students continue to learn Spanish and sign language throughout our kindergarten program. They are able to sign the alphabet and basic words as well as count and speak basic Spanish.
By utilizing a structured program of hands-on projects, interactive learning activities and repetitious learning, students excel in academics and are thoroughly prepared to enter first grade. We get children excited about learning!
If your child does not meet the cut-off date for kindergarten, but you believe they are ready to start school, we are willing to deviate from the cut-off date by offering your child a Kindergarten Placement Test.
