Dear Parents,
This week’s lesson is about Jesus’ calling of the disciples’ the men He chose to tell people the good news that God offers eternal life to all people. The Scripture references for this lesson are Matthew 4:18-22 and Luke 5:27-28.
Not only did God choose the disciples to follow Him, but He offers people today the opportunity to love and serve others in His name. Jesus invites everyone to receive the forgiveness for sins and the offer of eternal life that He has made possible through His death on the cross. Even young children can understand this Bible truth! Isn’t it wonderful to know that as a parent you can share God’s plan for eternal life through faith in Christ?
Relationships are so important! Just as Jesus invited disciples to follow Him, you can invite your child to follow you! As you grow in your faith, your child will see the light of Christ in your life and will want to imitate you. Growing in faith requires time spent in reading God’s Word and in prayer.
Take time today to meet one-on-one with Jesus. His appointment book is never full, and He’s available 24-7!
