How secure is your facility?
Our Albuquerque day care provides students with a solid Christian education in an environment that is safe and secure. Some of the ways that ensure the safety of the children in our care include:
- Our security-locked doors enable us to control who enters our building.
- Our classroom area is secure behind a locked door that is only opened for staff, parents or individuals who are authorized by staff or a parent.
- An access code to check your child in and out of school allows us to keep track of who’s coming and going.
- Our outside-access doors are locked and alarmed so we know whenever one of these doors is opened.
How is your program structured?
We believe that children excel in learning when they have a predictable routine every day. A structured daily schedule provides children with the security they need to go about their day and confidently explore and discover the world around them. We strive to maintain a balance between structured learning time and playtime at our day care in Albuquerque, NM.
How qualified are your teachers?
Our teachers must not only meet strict state licensing requirements for Albuquerque daycares, but also our own rigorous demands for providing quality care and education to preschool-aged children. In addition to completing the state-required child development class, our teachers undergo an additional 35 hours of professional development and training every year (which exceed the CYFD requirement of 24 hours), are certified in Infant and Pediatric CPR and First Aid and must pass a thorough background check, pre-employment drug test and random drug tests throughout the year. Many of our teachers also complete the Mind in the Making: The Science of Child Development course.
What curriculum do you use?
We use a Christian-based curriculum called A Beka. A Beka utilizes stories that promote Christian values and a Christian worldview while teaching children to read through proven phonics methods.
How do you communicate with parents?
We strive to keep the lines of communication open with parents each and every day. Our teachers are accessible to talk with parents anytime and every teacher maintains a parent information board outside of their classroom that addresses the following matters:
- What we Did Today
- Menu
- Daily Schedule
- Lesson Plan
Our toddler and infant teachers provide verbal and written feedback for parents about their child’s day, including what was eaten, what was done, milestones achieved that day, new words spoken, diapering and any other details that are important to know about your child’s experiences on any given day.
Do you offer extra-curricular programs?
We do offer additional programs that you may choose to have your child participate in throughout the week. Some of these programs include:
- Kids Love to Dance
- Gymboree
- Child Find
- School Pictures
Some of these activities require an additional fee to participate. Call for details and a current list of the programs we offer our students.
